Teacher aide Rowena Marie Reay "lost it" when she saw the woman who had had an affair with her partner of seven years; punching the woman and causing her nose to bleed.
Following her guilty plea before Judge Bruce Davidson, the 34-year-old mother of one was convicted of assault and ordered to pay $250 emotional harm reparation to her victim.
On July 13, she was at a club celebration in Featherston when the two women crossed paths and Reay asked the victim to go outside with her, the court heard.
However, before she stood up from the table, Reay punched her in the nose and then three times in the face before other people intervened, prosecutor Sergeant Jodie Lawrence said.
Defence lawyer James Elliott said his client was extremely remorseful and had sought anger counselling.
