KEY POINTS:
A 38-year-old woman is to appear in a Northland court tomorrow over the death of man whose body was found in a Kawakawa house yesterday with stab wounds.
The woman was arrested today and will appear in Kaikohe District Court on charges still to be confirmed, police said.
Police and ambulance officers were called to a house at the corner of Whiteman Rd and Leonard St about 5pm yesterday and found the 27-year-old man's body when they arrived.
His name has not yet been released and police have said they are not seeking anyone else in relation to his death at this stage.
Police spokeswoman Sarah Kennett said inquiries were continuing today, with detectives talking to a large number of witnesses and other people in the area.
She said police were interested in any incidents of serious assault that people might have seen.
The request was not specific, and police "just want to know if anyone had witnessed an assault".
Ms Kennett said she did not have any information about the relationship between the woman and the man, or whether the pair lived at the house.
