A South Waikato woman has been airlifted to Waikato Hospital with burns after a fire in the garage of her home early today.
Northern fire shift commander Jaron Phillips said Tokoroa firefighters were called to the Crathie Cres property just before 6am.
The brigade is still at the scene and the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter has picked up the woman and flown her to hospital for treatment for burns suffered in the blaze.
A fire safety officer has arrived at the scene and is investigating the cause.
