A Golden Bay woman has been airlifted hospital after suffering serious head injuries in a horse riding incident.
The 62-year-old Collingwood woman was treated by Takaka ambulance staff after she fell from the horse today.
A Nelson Marlborough rescue helicopter paramedic stabilised the woman before she was flown to Wellington Hospital at 2pm.
