A woman taking part in a training exercise with the Territorials in Marlborough was lifted out by helicopter last night after an accident.
The 31-year-old took a tumble on Rough Creek, off the Wairau River near Dip Flat.
She was part of a group of eight.
Two of them walked out to raise the alarm, while the others stayed with her and lit a fire.
The Defence Force says she was taken to Nelson Hospital for checks, and has now returned to the exercise.
