The trial of a woman charged over the death of her toddler has been abandoned at the High Court in Whangarei today because she has pleaded guilty.
The 31-year-old, who has name suppression, abandoned the 18-month-old girl in rugged bush at Parua Bay last March.
The girl was found lying face down in a pool of water.
The woman has today pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
