The Blenheim woman accused of hijacking a flight between Blenheim and Christchurch in 2008 has admitted the hijacking charge in the High Court at Christchurch.
Four charges of wounding or injuring with reckless disregard for safety were dropped when Asha Ali Abdille, a 35-year-old Somali refugee, admitted the main charge this morning.
She was remanded for sentencing on August 27.
The passenger flight was hijacked on February 8, 2008.
