A woman who shot and seriously wounded a man outside his home near Dunedin earlier this year has been convicted of attempted murder.
Annabelle Wyant a 34-year-old mother, of Osborne, appeared in the High Court in Dunedin this morning and admitted attempting to murder Kipa King at Purakaunui on March 6 this year.
She also admitted unlawfully possessing a .22 calibre pistol and driving with a breath alcohol level of 1554mcg.
As a result of the conviction for attempted murder, Wyant was given a first warning under the three strikes legislation and remanded on bail for sentence.
At the request of counsel Anne Stevens, Justice Dunningham suppressed all facts in the case until sentencing on December 4.
