A woman will appear in court today charged with stabbing a man at a caravan park in Wanganui at the weekend.
Police were called to the Bignell Street Caravan Park about 3am yesterday, police spokeswoman Kim Perks said.
A 24-year-old man had been stabbed a number of times during an incident inside the caravan in which he was living.
He was in a serious but stable condition in Wanganui Hospital.
A 17-year-old woman from Wanganui, who was known to the injured man, was later arrested and charged with common assault, Ms Perks said.
She will appear at Wanganui District Court later today.
The knife thought to have been used in the attack was found at the caravan park.
