Waitakere police are looking a 48-year-old woman reported missing from a residential facility in Te Atatu.
Frances Maree Manufui was last seen on Saturday having told friends at the Auckland City Mission that she might go to Hamilton by bus.
Police said staff from her residential facility spoke to her by cell phone and were told she was in New Lynn and on her way home. They later called her again repeatedly but got no answer.
Police said Ms Manufui's family and IHC were concerned for her safety, and that she was unlikely to be taking her medication.
Ms Manufui is described as a Samoan/European, of medium to solid build, weighs about 83kg, about 165cm tall, with dark brown hair and brown pigmentation colouring underneath both ears. She was last seen wearing dark blue pants and a white long sleeve top.
Anyone with any information on Ms Manufui's whereabouts should contact Constable Andrew Rush at Henderson Police on 09 839 0634 immediately.
