A person from Gisborne has become the country's latest millionaire after winning big in last night's Lotto draw.
The person's bank balance will swell by $1million after winning first division in the mid-week draw.
The golden ticket was sold at Kaiti SuperValue in Gisborne.
A Lotto spokesperson advised anyone who had bought their ticket from the store to write their name on the back of their ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
Powerball was not struck and has rolled over to next Wednesday night with the jackpot rising to $5million.
