KEY POINTS:
A New Plymouth "Powerball" ticket holder tonight won more than $19 million.
The ticket scored a record $19,054,243 in tonight's draw, said Lotteries' chief executive Todd McLeay.
The winning ticket, sold at a Pak N Save store in the city, was made up of $18,816,031 from Powerball First Division and $238,212 from Lotto First Division.
This is the biggest Powerball prize ever won by a single winner.
The previous largest combined Lotto Powerball-First Division prize of just on $18 million was won in May 2006.
Six other Lotto players also captured $238,212 on Lotto First Division tonight.
Two Strike Four prizes worth $244,811 each were also won.
