A risk of choking has lead to the product recall of children's shoes called Winnie the Pooh Flowers Joggers.
The Consumer Institute issued the warning after it was found that small plastic toggles on the end of the elastic lace may detach and pose a potential choking hazard.
The shoes, sold at Farmers Department store between last September and April, are white with pink and lilac trims. The lace is elastic and has an adjuster and plastic toggle at the end to prevent the adjuster from being removed.
The Institute said that owners of the shoes should remove the elastic lace, toggle and adjuster and replace with a non-elastic shoelace.
A free replacement pair of laces can be obtained by contacting Planet Fun on 09 917 4010.
