Lady luck has been looking out for one central Hawke's Bay resident who last week won a major Lotto prize for the second time.
The winner, who wanted to remain anonymous, pocketed a $500,000 share of Saturday's first division prize with a $6 lucky dip ticket purchased from Paper Plus in Waipukurau, NZ Lotteries' chief executive Todd McLeay said.
The winner had already won a share of first division in a different location about 20 years ago, he said.
McLeay said the winner planned to spend the latest windfall on an overseas trip and shared with charities and close family.
