Ben Winder comfortably won the senior men's title when Athletics and Cycling Masterton Harriers held the last of their summer race meets last Sunday; the annual road championships.
Winder quickly asserted his superiority on the 10km course and his time of 35m 15s was about a minute faster than his rivals.
Dominic Green won the men's 40-49 years grade while Graeme Butcher showed he was well on track to represent New Zealand at the world 24-hour endurance event, taking the men's 40-59 years division in 38.36, the third fastest time overall.
Calling the tune in the men's 60+ years section was Lloyd Millar with a time of 43.47.
