Wind cancels Wellington ferry

A commuter ferry in Wellington harbour has been cancelled because of high winds.

The 9.10 ferry from Days Bay to Queens Wharf will not sail.

An East By West Ferries spokeswoman says they'll reassess the situation at 10am.

Wind gusts of 76km/h have been recorded by MetService this morning. A wind warning isn't issued until gusts reach 110km/h.
