Fieldays organisers said wild weather had cleared and wet conditions had not dampened activities for the second day of the National Agricultural Fieldays at Mystery Creek today.
Spokeswoman Vicki Annison said activities have continued as normal despite a few wet patches. She said the worst of the storm had already passed.
Motorists heading to the event faced long delays this morning due to a fallen tree and slips in the area.
Further afield, SH25A in the Coromandel is currently closed due to slips and flooding and SH29 over the Kaimai Range to Tauranga is also closed.
Motorists travelling south from Auckland are advised to take SH3 and SH39 from Rangiriri.
