A 40-year-old learner driver finished a driving lesson with her husband on Sunday by parking the car "sideways" in the driveway of a repeatedly unlucky Dunedin resident, police say.
Senior Sergeant Bruce Ross, of Dunedin, said a woman, being given a driving lesson by her husband in a Mitsubishi hatchback crashed around midday.
The woman "over accelerated" when negotiating a "steep sharp right" from Adderley Tce to Junction Rd, in Ravensbourne, and hit the kerb, he said.
The hatchback "flopped" down a bank and hit a parked red Holden sedan in a driveway below, he said.
The sedan stopped the hatchback from rolling on its roof.
