Flight Centre Lansdowne, again coached by Mark Brown, have gained Jamie Holmes from Rathkeale College but have lost the services of Robbie Anderson to Red Star, Dane Buchanan through retirement and Sam Curtis temporarily to injury.
Players to watch include Jamie Holmes who will have plenty of chance to take wickets bowling his leg spin. Jamie is also sharp in the field, not to mention a match winner with the bat.
Brock Price can be devastating with bat and ball on his day, is probably the quickest bowler in the region and can also bat at the top of the order with a "take no prisoners" approach. On his day he has the ability to change the outcome of a game.
Last season Lansdowne made the final in both senior competitions but were pipped at the post each time. An improvement on last season can only result on winning both the Umpires Cup and the Bidwell Cup. The inclusion of the T20 competition adds another target for the team to chase.

Players to watch this season include talented all-rounder Jared Watt who, last time Red Star were successful, contributed 50 plus wickets and scored over 600 runs. Nik Karaitiana, another all-rounder with huge talents, was selected for Wairarapa last season and is expected to be dominant again this season.
Stars have a good young squad and are looking forward to rejoining the winner's circle. This side should enjoy the new T20 competition.

Apart from all-rounder Seth Rance, players to catch the eye this season include Nash Patel with his off spin while captain Paul Lyttle is an explosive opening batsman.
Greytown will be keen to take the success and lessons learned from last season into this campaign.
Dave Turton has been elected Wairarapa Cricket Association president more than a decade after a Greytown member last held the position.
