I'll be joining Provenco at an exciting stage in the company. Provenco is a market leader in New Zealand and is rapidly establishing its reputation internationally in the key retail oil markets of the world, with compelling, leading edge technologies for business.
One example is Provenco's outdoor payment terminal (also known as 'pay at pump'). This product is designed, developed and manufactured in New Zealand for the international retail oil markets and is receiving recognition as the market leader.
I am also passionate about being part of a New Zealand owned and operated company and growing the preference for this brand successfully to the right target customers worldwide.
What does your new job entail?
Reporting to the CEO David Ritchie, I will be responsible for formulating and implementing Provenco Group's marketing communications across the Provenco branded divisions and the group.
What particular challenges do you face working in this sector?
Technology is a fast-paced and rapidly changing sector. So keeping ahead of the changes and being able to anticipate and communicate in an effective way what's next and where the opportunities are for customers will be a priority.
What are the immediate challenges ahead of you?
Helping to create and implement effective marketing communication strategies and tools so that business customers both here and overseas understand Provenco's breadth of capabilities in being a supplier of smart technology for business. Helping customers understand our technologies and how these can improve their businesses.
One particular emphasis is being responsible for the marketing communications of our automation and transaction processing to the retail oil industry/ petrol stations - both to a domestic and internationally targeted customer base.
What else might you have done?
I wanted to be an astronaut when I was 10.
What do you do in your spare time?
The gym thing ... running, cycling and travelling. I just returned from three amazing weeks in India. I am training for the Round Taupo Cycle Race next month and the Keri Keri marathon.
