Were you one of the 73 people who applied for this job and wondered who got it?
Job title: Chief executive.
For: The Plastic Centre Group.
Vaughan Moss aims to build a plastics empire.
With 30 plastics retailers, he's building a new national retail chain.
Most of the shops will be in Auckland and the launch for the first of them is a couple of weeks away.
It's been a frantic time for the South Africa-born Moss, who has been in New Zealand for three years with his wife and two teenage children.
The Plastic Centre Group, he says, "is a brave new start-up company, doing the processes for purchasing and marketing, financial processes, building relationships with retailers and suppliers, and our suppliers overseas.
"The retailers are determined to make it a success, and they're all successful retailers ... It's a case of harnessing that enthusiasm and driving the group forward." But he's not too fazed by the challenge, saying: "It's not the first time I've had to do a start-up, and it's not nerve-racking at all. It's usually challenging."
Moss was previously the general manager of two Auckland companies, Guardian Pharmacies and Russells Pharmaceuticals.
Management Search International recruitment director Kimberley Alford says that the 73 applications received were of a high calibre.
