Q: What were you doing before accepting your new position?
A: I was employed by Plastic Materials and Processes working with plastic thermoforming manufacturers, maintaining key accounts and developing new markets within this industry.
Q: Why did you apply for this job?
A: I was interested in getting back into capital investment and technical sales, similar to what I was doing at GeoSystems.
I also wanted to remain in the plastics industry.
Aotea Machinery offer injection moulding and peripheral machinery that are some of the best in the industry; their products and reputation have really impressed me.
Q: What are the major challenges ahead of you?
A: Understanding our customers' injection moulding requirements.
In particular technical specifications of the machinery and capital cost versus benefit and cost versus payback.
Q: What qualities do you bring to the job?
A: Apart from the necessary technical competencies and expertise in technical capital machinery sales, an enthusiasm for the job, backed by past success in similar roles and a real desire to build long term mutually beneficial relationships with our customers.
Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: Mountain biking, landscaping, spending time with my family and going to the footy with my mates.
