Were you one of the 57 people who applied for this job and wondered who got it?
Job: Business development manager
For: New Zealand Dairy Foods.
Phillip Morgan is "stoked" with his new job.
But he won't have to suffer too much in getting used to company culture - he was an internal candidate, and according to Sheffield consultant Delwyn Neill, fended off 56 other people for the position.
And 27-year-old Morgan says that this is the second time that NZDF has given him a leg-up.
When the Waikato University management systems graduate joined the company in Hamilton 18 months ago, he went straight into a sales representative job, working with supermarkets, without having to move through many of the jobs that often precede such an appointment.
His new post involves working with milk franchisees who deliver to supermarkets, dairies and other big milk users, and helping them to expand their business.
Primarily responsible for the west and north of Auckland, he will often be on the road meeting with franchisees.
So a head for small business concerns will be important.
He describes the industry as a challenge.
"It's quite a pressure-packed environment," he says.
Morgan is grateful for NZDF's support, and says he is very loyal to the company for giving him a chance.
"I'm quite young compared to what the role entails," he admits.
"But I'm quite excited."
The new job also involves a new home - he is moving to Auckland.
