Were you one of the people who applied for this job and wondered who got it?
Job: IT manager.
For: Tip Top Ice Cream Company.
Andrew Wills went into the interview for this job without knowing who his potential employer was - the job advertisement didn't say.
But he was delighted to discover it was Auckland ice cream maker Tip Top - "it's a Kiwi icon," he says.
"I was interested in the fast-moving consumer goods industry.
"It's a very dynamic industry, and they do lots of exciting things."
South Africa-born Wills has been at the sharp end of food manufacturing before.
He worked in IT for Unilever in South Africa for 11 years.
During that time it launched a brand of ice cream which is probably the equivalent of Magnum in New Zealand.
"It was a very exciting venture that Unilever went in to," says 38-year-old Wills.
One of the most important parts of his new job will be keeping in top form Tip Top's "remote IT" - among them hand-held computers used by distribution staff.
"Every morning they download," he says.
"They have a standard customer list and they literally sell off the back of the van."
Consultant Allen Mackay, of OCG says he received "about 50" applications for the post, which he describes as a big response.
