Were you one of the people who applied for this job and wondered who got it?
Job title: Manager, market analysis and operations.
For: The Reserve Bank.
It's an interesting time to be a money marketeer.
As commercial and central banks deal with the aftermath of September's terrorist attacks and an impending recession, professionals such as Ian Russon, 45, are busier than ever keeping fingers on the money market's pulse.
The Reserve Bank is the "bank's bank", issuing money and ensuring that our Kiwi dollar retains its buying power. And central to doing this is the information that flows from Russon and his team of three at the Reserve Bank in Wellington.
Russon was born in London, but has been in New Zealand for six years with his Kiwi wife.
He characterises his job as "providing insights - watching price movements and market developments".
He has been with the bank for five years. He says he had been doing part of the job before restructuring gave it a new title and additional responsibilities, and it became his full-time task.
Job satisfaction comes from "being involved in a central part of the Reserve Bank's operations," he says.
Russon has a degree in economics from the University of Exeter and wide experience in financial markets and business management.
