New Zealand women are worse at getting out of control at weddings than Australian women.
Kiwi men order more flowers, chocolate and champagne than the Aussie male.
But when it comes to being caught naked in the hall, the Australian man rules on the full monty scale.
These insights come in the fourth annual survey of hotel employees and managers in 27 Novotel hotels, 20 in Australia and seven in New Zealand.
The survey found no reports of naked men in New Zealand hotels, but it was a common sight in across the ditch. New Zealand women, however, were more likely to lock themselves out of their hotel rooms.
Stay in a New Zealand hotel with a bunch of wedding guests and 80 per cent of the women will get out of control, whereas only 60 per cent of their Australian counterparts will cause a ruckus.
The Australian male is messier, 88 per cent of respondents saying they left their rooms more untidy than women, compared with a 50:50 split between the sexes here.
New Zealand women hold the embarrassing accolade of most prangs in hotel carparks.
They were the cause of 80 per cent of carpark accidents, to 64 per cent in Australia.
Putting aside transtasman rivalry, the survey found one of the biggest trends over the past year was that women now accounted for 14 per cent of passes made at hotel staff, compared with nil 12 months ago.
