KEY POINTS:
Fugitive Green Acres franchise master Keith Lapham allegedly defrauded 200 would-be ironing franchise holders of around $25,000 each.
The total cost of the alleged fraud is estimated at around $3m. Mr Lapham is thought to have carried out his scheme over an 18 month period, using bogus couriers and administrative staff to deliver consignments of ironing to the largely immigrant franchisees.
Now many of the 200 out-of-pocket franchisees have debts they fear they will be unable to pay.
Green Acres bosses have the names of some of Lapham's associates, which they are passing on to the Serious Fraud Office.
But they have been unable to locate Mr Lapham.
Do you know where he is? If so email the Herald Newsdesk.
