Armageddon Expo
Saturday October 24 to Monday October 26, 9am-6pm daily. ASB Showgrounds, 217 Greenlane West, Epsom. Three days of ultimate entertainment, gaming displays, new technology, film screenings, wrestling, roller derby and live music with Savage. Family pass (2 adults & 3 children) $40, adults $18, students $16, children & seniors $10, children under 5 free.

Manukau Festival of Arts

Stardome Observatory

MOTAT Experience
Saturday October 24 and Sunday October 25, 10am-4.30pm, MOTAT, 805 Great North Rd, Western Springs. Participate in MOTAT's 'Clue Buster' activity and visit some of MOTAT's most exciting exhibits along the way. And for the more grown-up members of the family, there are MOTAT's all-new 45-minute guided tours.

Megalodon - The Monster Shark
Until Sunday October 25, 9.30am-5.30pm daily. Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter, 23 Tamaki Drive, Orakei. Dive deep into the prehistoric past and meet Megalodon - a marine monster from over a million years ago.

Kids' Day Out
Family Fun Day, Saturday October 24 11am-3pm. Henderson Primary School Fields, Corner of Great North Rd and Edsel St Henderson. Featuring The Funky Monkeys, Old MacDonald's Farm, bouncy castles, storytellers, face painters, clowns, magicians, games, rides and more.

Sheep Shearing Contest
Sunday October 25, all day. The Matakana House, 11 Matakana Valley Rd, Matakana. Enter as a team or individual.

Western District Model Railway Club open day
Sunday October 25, 10am-4.30pm, Waitakere College, Rathgar Rd, Henderson. Gold coin donation.

Full Throttle
Dunlop Targa Rally, Sunday October 25, 9am-6pm. TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre, 770 Great South Rd, Manukau City. Part of Full Throttle - Manukau's Labour Weekend of Wheels. Millions of dollars of vehicles on show and in action - all free, all Labour weekend. Entertainment for the entire family.
