International Customs Day

International Customs Day is about recognising partnerships between Customs and business, with interesting and lively activities for the whole family including:
* A special focus on counterfeit goods including how to tell the real from the fake
* The kinds of unusual plants and animals that smugglers attempt to trade illegally
* Detector dog demonstrations
* X-ray machine displays
* Weapons seized at the border
* Exhibits showing the methods drug smugglers use to try to beat border security.
Karaka Million - Barfoot & Thompson Twilight Summer Series

Gates open at 3.30pm, with first race at 5.10pm. Karaka Million race at 7.23pm.
General admission - $10 (children under 15 years free); Ascot Stand - $10. Free parking.
The $1,000,000 Karaka Million is the feature race as the Barfoot & Thompson Twilight Summer Series continues at Ellerslie.
Partygoers oncourse will rub shoulders with racing's royalty as some of the best 2-year-old graduates from New Zealand Bloodstock's 2009 National Yearling Sales fight it out on the track for $1,000,000.

Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta

Auckland's 170th Anniversary Day Regatta celebrates our maritime history and heritage on land and sea with a fleet of sailboats, classic yachts, vintage tugboats and tall ships, plus the fastest racers on the water, all competing for line honours in their respective classes.
Best spectator vantage points are Viaduct Harbour, Bastion Pt, North Head, East Coast Bays, Tamaki Drive and Orakei Wharf.
Races start from 11am off Princes Wharf, including classic yachts, tall ships, waka, keelboats, multihulls and more.
Fullers Anniversary Day Regatta Spectator Cruise
Monday From 9.30am to 12.30pm
Tickets are limited. Adults $40, children $15, seniors $35.
Fullers is running a morning cruise on Auckland Anniversary Day. Those on board will be able to catch the tugboat and classic yacht races in the Oceanbridge Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta.
Departing from Downtown Ferry Terminal, 99 Quay St.
