A showery start to the morning will ease to blue skies for most parts of the country tomorrow.
Metservice meteorologist Rob Kerr said a high was moving over much of the country that would create a "more settled weather". Auckland currently had "blue skies and fluffy clouds" but light showers were expected tomorrow morning, Mr Kerr said.
However Aucklanders can expect some sunshine in the afternoon as showers clear.
Although the sun was shining in the capital today, Wellington would experience morning showers tomorrow with fresh southerlies.
Mr Kerr said Christchurch was "quite miserable" today but apart from a few showers tomorrow morning, Cantabrians may see some sunshine.
