The public bar of a Whangarei hotel has been robbed at knifepoint, police say.
Police and St John Ambulance were this evening heading to Kamo Hotel, north of Whangarei, after a caller reported a knifepoint robbery by a man wearing a balaclava.
Police later said no one was injured during the robbery, which happened about 5.20pm.
The man slipped into the hotel's public bar, demanded money and left.
