KEY POINTS:
A decision by the Whanganui District Health Board on whether to remove outspoken member Clive Solomon has been deferred for two weeks.
At a short emergency meeting yesterday, the board agreed to adjourn the meeting for a fortnight while it prepared papers outlining its case against the consultant surgeon for his lawyers to assess.
Mr Solomon has said he will strenuously fight any moves to remove him from his elected position on the board. He has been causing waves since he left Wanganui Hospital last November, labelling it unsafe and calling on the Ministry of Health to step in.
