Whakatane teens on kidnap charges

Two teenage boys allegedly used a gun to kidnap and force three other youths to drive around the eastern Bay of Plenty in the weekend.

The incident was reported to Whakatane police in the early hours of Saturday. The Tauranga armed offenders squad was called and the two boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested at a house in Whakatane.

The pair have been charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
