Whakatane prisoner on the run

A dangerous prisoner is on the run after escaping from the cells at the Whakatane District Court yesterday during a lawyer's visit.

Raymond Tukariri, 29, has short hair and a 10cm scar on the back of his head. Police say he is dangerous.

He was last seen wearing blue trackpants, a blue shirt and a grey polar fleece sweatshirt.
