KEY POINTS:
The Parliamentary Special will arrive at Britomart in Auckland just before 4pm today.
The stream train left Wellington two days ago on a journey that reenacts one 100 years ago when MPs travelled from the capital to Auckland to greet a visiting American naval fleet.
Prime Minister Helen Clark will be on hand to meet the train when it arrives and it will be on display until 5pm.
The train, will enter Britomart pulled by a diesel locomotive, after having its steam engine decoupled at Otahuhu due to restrictions at Britomart.
