The wet weather isn't going anywhere.
MetService says a cold front is expected to sweep from from the South Island to the lower North Island tomorrow.
It's set to bring a period of rain to most of the South Island and lower North Island, and some snow to the hills and ranges of the South Island.
On Tuesday, it will move further north and will stick around till Wednesday.
While southern and central parts of the country will get some respite for those days, another frontal rain band is expected to move onto southern New Zealand on Thursday.
