Two people are dead after two unrelated stabbings in west Auckland on Saturday.

A 42-year-old man died this morning after a stabbing on Hepburn Rd in Glendene.
Police were called to the street on Saturday and found a man in a critical condition following a dispute with a group of at least three people.
The man was treated at the scene and taken to Auckland Hospital by ambulance where he later died.
Waitemata Police Detective Inspector John Sutton said that police will release the name of the victim on Monday, once the next of kin have been informed.
"I would like to reassure the public that this incident in Hepburn Rd is not related to an incident earlier in the day in Te Atatu," Sutton said.
Officers were still speaking with those involved in the incident.
Sutton said there was no suspect, and police were asking for anyone with information to come forward.
The three or four people believed to be involved in a dispute before the stabbing were yet to come forward, and police were trying to find them.
Operation Kangeroo has been launched to find those responsible.
Sutton did not know what the argument was about.
"We know they left the scene and we are still trying to establish how they left and where they left [to]."
He thanked neighbours for their help.
There was no concern about staffing numbers in light of the two stabbings occurring so close together.
"In fact, we had staff ringing up offering to come in to help," Sutton said.
The Glendene stabbing follows an incident on Saturday afternoon which saw a woman die following a stabbing at a girls' day out.
A 36-year-old woman has been charged with murder after another woman, also 36, died from stab wounds at School Rd, Te Atatu South.
