“Memorial Lane Drive is an unlikely place for the discharge of firearms as it’s a very central and visible street just off Hobsonville Rd that feeds into the Hobsonville Bowling Club, Woolworths, and a children’s playground and cricket pitch.
“Police now want anyone with information, or local witnesses, to come forward to help with their investigation. Likewise, worried locals are equally keen to find out more details, which rest assured will be released once they’re confirmed,” Brewer said.

A Foodstuffs spokeswoman told the Herald the man had been at a nearby business when he ran into the supermarket pursued by police. She said no supermarket staff were threatened and nobody was injured in the incident.
