West Auckland murder accused remanded

A man charged with murdering a woman in west Auckland in June has been remanded in custody to reappear in court in October.

Shane Millar, 30, briefly appeared in Waitakere District Court today on a charge of murdering beneficiary Susan Ann Marriner, 46.

Millar was remanded in custody until his next appearance on October 13 for a call-over in the High Court at Auckland.

Police were called to a Henderson house and found Ms Marriner's body on June 8.
