A homicide investigation has been launched into the suspicious death of a 29-year-old man in west Auckland last night.
Police say they went to a home in the suburb of Ranui "late in the evening'' after reports a man had been taken to Waitakere Hospital with "unexplained injuries''.
He later died of his injuries, police said.
The home has been cordoned off as detectives examine the area.
A post mortem examination is expected later today.
