A large fire at a west Auckland factory yesterday is believed to have been deliberately lit and police want to speak to three young people seen riding scooters in the area.
The blaze, which broke out about 12.30pm, badly damaged the factory on Te Atatu Rd.
Fire investigators alerted police after finding the fire started among a stack of pallets next to the building.
Police today reviewed CCTV footage from the neighbourhood which showed a girl and two boys, both riding children's scooters, in the area just before the fire broke out.
"They may have witnessed something or might be able to give us information that would assist us,'' said Detective Sergeant Eugene Pickett.
