West Auckland blaze investigated

A fire at a flat in the west Auckland suburb of Glen Eden today is being investigated by the Fire Service.

The fire is now out but the flat was well ablaze when crews arrived just before 9am, Northern Fire Communications Centre shift manager Steve Smith said.

A fire safety officer was investigating.

Nobody was in the building when fire crews arrived.
