West Auckland accident victim named

Police have named a 31-year-old man who died after the car he was driving hit a power pole in west Auckland on Sunday morning.

Anton Grant Parris of Titirangi died on impact about 5.30am on Sunday on Henderson Valley Road in Waitakere.

There were no passengers in the car.

The Serious Crash Unit was investigating the cause of the accident and appealed to anyone who witnessed a two tone grey and silver V8 Holden Calais being driven in the Henderson area early on Sunday morning to contact police.
