Wellingtonians are the most poverty-conscious people in the country, a survey has found.
The ChildFund survey describes Wellington residents as the most clued-up on New Zealand's international aid efforts.
Childfund chief executive Paul Brown said residents of the capital had very strong ideas as to how charity efforts can be improved.
He said Wellingtonians believed all sectors of New Zealand society should be doing more to help those in need.
