One of the people involved in an alleged "vampire" attack in Wellington will be sentenced next month.
James Phillip Brooks, 22, earlier pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to render a man unconscious following the night-time attack, in which he and two others are alleged to have bitten a teenager and drunk his blood in the suburb of Mt Victoria on February 20.
Brooks appeared in Wellington District Court this week and was remanded for sentencing on September 10.
Xenia Gregoriana Borichevsky, 19, and James Eric Orr, 19, have denied the charge and a tentative High Court date has been set down for next month.
The victim reportedly passed out after the attack and spent days in hospital afterwards fighting infection and fever.
