A Wellington mental health patient, missing for nearly two weeks, has been found safe in Auckland this morning, police say.
Malcolm Freeman, 50, a resident of Mash Community House in the suburb of Miramar, was last seen on January 16, and there were concerns for his wellbeing.
However, police this afternoon said he was found safe and had been "referred to the relevant authorities to ensure his ongoing safety".
Police and Mr Freeman's family thanked the public and the media for their help in the search for him.
