A man facing at least 57 historical sex charges including 26 counts of rape has pleaded not guilty.
The 38-year-old Wellington man, who has interim name suppression, appeared on audio visual link at the Wellington District Court this morning on the charges.
In total he faces 69 charges, which include counts of attempted rape, abduction for sex, unlawful sexual connection, making an intimate visual recording, assault and aborting an unborn child.
Through his lawyer, the man elected trial by jury.
The alleged offences are against multiple complainants.
