Police are yet to make an arrest after a man was seriously assaulted in Wellington last night.
The man was taken to Wellington Hospital with serious head injuries after he was assaulted with a weapon on Luxford Street near the intersection of Rintoul Street, in Newtown, around 5.40pm.
The Wellington Police Armed Offenders Squad was called out to search house in Luxford Street, however at this stage no arrests have been made.
The victim was rushed to Wellington Hospital with serious head injuries.
