KEY POINTS:
Wellington motorists are being warned of delays after a car hit a power pole in the central city, and another crashed on the Wainuiomata Hill Road.
No-one was reported injured in either crash.
Police said drivers heading to the Kilbirnie/Miramar area should avoid the Mount Victoria tunnel and Constable Street, where traffic was backed up.
They said it could take up to an hour to remove the pole.
Meantime, the south bound lane of the Wainuiomata Hill Road is blocked and motorists are being advised to delay travel for the next half hour.
