A A former Lower Hutt teacher charged with helping a 77-year-old commit suicide has appeared in the High Court in Wellington.
Susan Austen, 66, has been charged with helping Annemarie Niesje Treadwell to commit suicide in June last year.
Austen is also facing two charges of importing a sedative that could be used for euthanasia.
She is due to reappear in the High Court for a pre-trial hearing next month.
